Party Fortune Tellers and the Scary Cards
One concern I hear over and over when prospective clients set out to hire a fortune teller for their party is that they don’t want the readings to be too scary. For clients with little or no experience with metaphysics, the purpose in having a Tarot reader is to add an exotic touch to the party. They don’t want anything too heavy and they certainly don’t want some strange black magic or voodoo.
I’ll get comments such as “we want to keep the readings light…” “we don’t want to hear anything disturbing…”
What clients generally mean is that they want their guests to be entertained and to have an enjoyable experience.
And a seasoned party reader keeps that in mind.
But real readers are working with real tools and a guest’s real-life problems have a way of popping out in a reading even when a reader has removed the “scary cards” from her deck. And many guests who sit with a party reader are really seeking solutions to their real-world problems.
So some readings get into some deep places and that can provide real value to a guest–even in a reading that only lasts a few minutes.
