Kids Party – Some Tips to Keep You Sane

Kids parties are very different than parties for grownups. For starters, your guests are kids. And their needs will widely vary according to their age group. But there are some steps are necessary to make them a success and prevent problems no matter what the age group. These tips will help whether you are planning a kids birthday, Halloween or other kind of party.

All kids parties needs close parental supervision although the reasons will vary by age group.

For the preschoolers, for eg., you’ll want at least one responsible adult or teenager for every 3 to 4 kids with a maximum guest list of 12-14. And you’ll want to keep their parties short. An hour-and-a-half to two hours should be your absolute maximum. This will go a long way to helping you keep your sanity.

Older kids can take on a greater role in their party’s planning and execution. But as responsible adult, it is up to you to set and enforce limits on spending, behavior, etc. Being clear upfront about your expectations will prevent problems later on at your kids party.
