Generally the December holiday season is a hectic time for providers of party services. Few if any spots would be open at this late date for a Christmas party.

But one silver lining in the current recession is that corporate spending is still way down. While that means fewer and leaner holiday parties for the employees, it means that the availability of party services is greater than it normally would be in December.

This is a round-a-bout way of saying that if you are planning a holiday party at the last minute, you still have options. Granted, not all dates and not all vendors are available. But your choices are far wider than in a more normal December.

So, if you are planning to have a party, go ahead and start making your arrangements.
