Trick or Treat – It must be Halloween
Trick or treat – the words are synonymous with Halloween. As a child I looked forward to Halloween in eager anticipation. Dressing up in costume, knocking on the doors of neighbors–if it was a warm night, some neighbors sat on their stoops giving out their goodies…
And for me, it is the big bags of loot that really made me smile. As a chocolate lover even as a child, I prized the candy bars most. My brothers and I were subject to certain rules. My parents insisted that we bring home the loot for their inspection before we were allowed to sample any–even then safety was a concern.
But to me, Halloween was absolutely my favorite holiday and even now as a grown up, I still love its color and fun.
